Attorney General Holder says, "WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO POSSESS GUNS."

TAKES 10 SECONDS ... DO IT AND PASS IT ON.
Guess they were not happy with the poll results the first time,  so USA today is running another one...Vote now...

Attorney General Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today.  Then pass the link on to all the pro-gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

Here's what you need to do:

First - vote.
Second- launch it to other folks, then we will see if the results get published.

AMERICA'S HUNTERS

                                             Interesting slant    on things...

INTERESTING

AMERICA'S HUNTERS --- Pretty Amazing!
The world's largest army... America's hunters!

I had never thought    about this...
A blogger added up the deer license sales
in just a handful of    states and
arrived at a striking    conclusion:

  There
  were over 600,000 hunters
this season in the    state of Wisconsin .

Allow me to restate    that number:

Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the

eighth largest army    in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran.

More than France and Germany combined.

  These men
deployed to the woods of a single American    state,
Wisconsin,
  to hunt with firearms, and
no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000
who hunted the woods    of Pennsylvania and Michigan's
  700,000 hunters,
all of whom have now returned home safely.

Toss in a quarter    million hunters in West Virginia and it literally

establishes the fact
that the hunters of    those four states alone would

comprise the largest    army in the world.
And then add in the    total number of hunters

in the other 46    states.
It's millions more.

  The point?

  America    will forever be safe
from foreign    invasion with that kind of
home-grown firepower.

  Hunting...
it's not just a way    to fill the freezer. It's a matter of
national security.

  ***************************************
  That's why all enemies,
  foreign and domestic,
want to see us    disarmed.

  Food for thought,
when next we    consider gun control.

  Have A Great Day!
  -------------------------------------
  Overall it's true,
so if we disregard    some assumptions that hunters don't

possess the same    skills as soldiers,
the question would still remain...what army of 2 million    would

want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens.

For the sake of our freedom,
don't ever allow gun    control or confiscation of guns.

In comparison to the governments that own guns and mow down their citizens, the safety records are phenomenal in USA!

Thanks for the heads-up on this.  I clicked on the
USA Today link - that's a great article, and, like, it
was familiar to me. (?)  (I have read this before?)

      * I looked for the new poll and didn't find it.

      * I checked today's USA paper and didn't find
         this article.

Resolve:  This article is dated 2-26-2008

Anyway, the results of the USA Today poll back in
      2008 was great !

And this is definitely an issue that we need to keep
      an eye on !

Let's get an update on this:

     ~ excerpt ~ June 28, 2010

Justices Extend Firearm Rights in 5-to-4 Ruling

WASHINGTON ó The Second Amendmentís guarantee of an individual
right to bear arms applies to state and local gun control laws,
the Supreme Court ruled Monday in a 5-to-4 decision.

The ruling came almost exactly two years after the court first ruled
that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to own guns
in District of Columbia v. Heller, another 5-to-4 decision.

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., writing for the majority, said the right
to self-defense protected by the Second Amendment was fundamental
to the American conception of ordered liberty. Like other provisions
of the Bill of Rights setting out such fundamental protections, he said,
it must be applied to limit not only federal power
but also that of state and local governments.

The ruling is an enormous symbolic victory for supporters of gun rights,
but its short-term practical effect is unclear. As in the Heller decision,
the justices left for another day just what kinds of gun control laws
can be reconciled with Second Amendment protection.

The majority said little more than that there is a right to keep handguns
     in the home for self-defense.
