SDB....you can adopt an older child (from China up to age 65 I believe)

uh, maybe I'm missing something, but why you would adopt a 65 year old? 

            Is he rich ?   a trust fund 'baby' ?

Our daughter says the most incredible things...especially because 7 months ago she couldn't speak english!  Last night she was concerned about something and said "Mommy, can we pray?".

She amazes me everyday and I can't believe she is ours!

Phred you crack me up!  China will allow a person who is 65 to adopt an orphan but it has to be an older child.  There are so very many orphans in China about to "age out" meaning hit 14 and be unavailable for adoption.  Once they age out and are an unregistered birth due being orphans...their future is pretty dim.

Wish I could help more kids find parents.  After being in China, seeing the poverty and the orphanages...it is really unimaginable.  Worse than I ever thought it would be...you can't even brush your teeth with tap water in the 5 star hotels!  I just wanted to grab my daughter and get her out of there.

Actually, where would one go to find a surrogate?  Where the situation would have to be using hte surrogates egg?  what resources are there out there for something like this or where would one go to find birthmothers looking for families to adopt their babies?

 usually there are attorneys that specialize in this field....but I dont know any in this area...

hopefully someone can give you a lead into the right direction...
