Your Newest Member of the News Staff, Katie Schultz

By Katie Schultz

Who is this Katie_S person? Well, that's me! As the newest member of the news staff, I deem it necessary to introduce myself. My name is Katie Schultz and I am a 2014 high school graduate. However, don't let the latter fool you, I am quite possibly a 40-year old trapped in a 19-year old's body. Freaky Friday, anyone? I am a former resident of Perry County, Ohio- having spent three years of my childhood living there. I am native to, and currently reside in Central Pennsylvania. But my ties to Ohio will be lifelong. It was living in Ohio that I discovered my love for the arts: singing, acting, and writing. I sing alone, don't act, and write constantly. Obviously I have grown up to be quite introverted (however, we make arguably the best writers).

In high school I excelled in my journalism course, propelling my skills forward. You can expect quality articles from me that are written with you, the reader, in mind. That being said, don't ask me to do math, ever. But, you can ask me anything else because I am easy going and welcome all conversation. My knowledge spans a broad spectrum of subjects.

Other than my passion and ambition to be a great writer, I am an Aunt. My nephew and two nieces cause me to be filled with bliss; a precious feeling. In my spare time I am working on several short stories and novels. My mind is an interesting place. I look forward to sharing some of that with you.
