Three Sentenced in Common Pleas Court

MOUNT VERNON – Three felony defendants were sentenced this week in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas, and one statewide warrant was issued. Complaints were also filed in Mount Vernon Municipal Court today.

On Wednesday, Christopher V. Watson, of New Jersey, was sentenced on two counts of Misuse of a Credit Card, both felonies of the fourth degree. Watson used Knox Community Hospital credit cards to purchase items for personal use totaling $36,449.51. He was sentenced to a definite term of 15 months in prison on each count to run concurrently, and ordered to pay restitution and court costs. After his term in prison he will be subject to three years of post-release control.

This morning in Common Pleas Court, Daniel Snyder, 23, of Bellville failed to appear with counsel and a statewide warrant was issued for him with a $25,000 bond.

Conor Pollock, 21, of Danville, was resentenced on two separate cases today for charges of Vandalism and Attempted Endangering of Children.  Pollock violated the terms of his community control when he was arrested on May 29, 2015 on a misdemeanor charge of theft and failed to report to his supervising officer. He was ordered to serve a definite term of 11 months in prison in both cases concurrently and to pay court costs. Pollock will also have three years of post-release control after his prison term.

Brian A. Zoeller, 28, of Mount Vernon, sentenced for Failure to Provide Change of Address, a fourth-degree felony.  Zoeller was previously convicted of receipt of child pornography in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in 2008. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison and ordered to pay court costs.

In the Mount Vernon Municipal Court today, complaints were filed against Jozn E. Ocker, 33, and Herschel R. Jones, III, 32, both of Mount Vernon. Ocker was charged with Aggravated Burglary, a first degree felony, Burglary, a second degree felony, and two counts Felonious Assault, second degree felonies. He was given a $75,000 bond. Jones was charged with Having Weapons While Under Disability, a third degree felony, Felonious Assault, a second degree felony, and Attempted Rape, a second degree felony. His bond was set at $100,000.
