Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 11/13 - 11/15

Arrests/Citations

Zachary Elkins, 27, of Mount Vernon, was charged with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia offenses.

Elijah Barber, 22, of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of abusing harmful intoxicants.

Lori Cook, 41, of Mount Vernon was cited for operation of a motor vehicle in violation of operator’s license restrictions.

Mandy Rittenhouse, 35, of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence and assault.

Jeffery Holdren, 55, of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence and assault.

Debra Baker, 56, of Mount Vernon was cited for failure to control/weaving course.

David Neale, 57, of Mount Vernon was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Billy Jackson, 42, of Mount Vernon was charged with theft.

Roger Legg, 28, of Mount Vernon, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.

Kimberly Blubaugh, 61, of Mount Vernon was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Richard Fox, 66, of Mount Vernon was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Vincent Crim, 27, of Mount Vernon was arrested on a probation violation.

 

Accidents

A 2009 Chevy Impala, driven by Debra Baker was parked northeast bound in the Beechtree Apartments parking lot.  A 2003 For Taurus, driven by Ruth Baker was traveling eastbound in the parking lot. Baker’s vehicle backed southwest bound, failing to see Anthony’s, and striking Anthony’s vehicle in the left side.

A 2011 Chevy Truck, driven by David Neale was traveling SB on North Norton Street approaching the West High Street intersection.  A 2003 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Travis Hutchins was traveling Southbound on North Norton Street stopped at the West High Street intersection stop sign.  Hutchins was stopped in front of Neale.  Neale rear ended Hutchins at the intersection.

A 2011 Toyota Corolla, driven by Kimberly Blubaugh was parked eastbound in the Kroger parking lot. A 2015 Suburus Impreza, driven by Tamara McMillen was traveling southbound in the Kroger parking lot. Blubaugh backed westbound, failing to see McMillen, striking McMillen’s vehicle in the left side.

A 2003 Ford Expedition, driven by Richard Fox, a 2006 Honda Odyssey, driven by Eric Stetler, and a 2009 Lincoln MKX, driven by Raymond Lazuder Jr. were traveling eastbound on West High Street. Stetler and Lazuder stopped for stalled traffic ahead. Fox’s vehicle failed to stop, striking Stetler’s vehicle in the rear-end. The impact forced Stetler’s vehicle into the rear-end of Lazuder’s vehicle.


Reports/Incidents

On November 13 at approximately 2:40 AM, officers made a traffic stop on Main St. and discovered drug paraphernalia.

On November 13 at approximately 12:20 PM, officers took a report of a fraud offense.

On November 13 at approximately 7:54 PM, officers responded to the 1500 block of Coshocton Ave. on a report of a male slumped over the wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot.

On November 13 at approximately 10:06 PM, officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Coshocton Ave.

On November 13 at approximately 10:39 PM, officers responded to the 0-100 block of Riley St on a domestic disturbance.

On November 14 at approximately 12:50 PM, officers responded to the 100 block of Shirley Ave. regarding a theft.

On November 14, at approximately 5:01 PM, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint in the 1500 block of Coshocton Ave.

On November 15, officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of S. Norton St.
