MVNU Festival of Joy Set to Take Place on October 9th

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio—Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Festival of Joy, open to senior adults and grandparents of current students, will take place on October 9, 2015. The festival will include Christian music and an uplifting message by Dr. Gary Sivewright. The registration deadline is September 25, 2015.


This year's Festival of Joy will begin with chapel, followed by a message from Dr. Gary Sivewright. The festival will continue with lunch and performances by the MVNU music department, and will conclude with an optional bus tour of the MVNU campus.

Guest speaker Dr. Gary Sivewright is the former chaplain and vice president of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he also served as Professor of Christian Education. Before serving at MVNU, Gary was director of Nazarene Youth International at the Nazarene headquarters in Kansas City, Mo. Gary has authored ten books and travels with Family Face to Face, an interactive communication ministry for families in the church; he is also a national presenter for HomeWord Parent Seminars. Gary currently pastors Lakin Wesleyan Church in Lakin, Kan.
