Officers responded to the 100 block of Riongold St. on a theft complaint. A nail polish table was reported stolen.
Officers responded to Knox Community Hospital on a domestic violence complaint. Officers spoke with the alleged victim and followed up with the alleged suspect at a later time. The alleged victim has been diagnosed with a terminal condition accompanied by mental illness. No charges are expected to be filed and the case was forwarded to Adult Protective Services.
An Officer was met at the police station by a man who claimed that the temporary registration tag from his daughter's car had been stolen while at the movie theater in Mount Vernon. The man stated that the vehicle was parked on the lot on March 27 from approximately 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Officers responded to the McDonald's on South Main St. on a report of a male bathing in the restroom. The man was asked to leave and was advised that he would be charged with criminal trespassing if he returned.
A 1995 Mercury Sable, operated by Jessica A. Green, of Mount Vernon, a 2005 Dodge Neon, operated by Brittany N. Trammell, of Mount Vernon, and a 2008 Honda Fit, operated by Michael L Myers, of Fredericktown were all travelling southbound on Newark Rd. Trammell and Myers stopped for traffic. Green's vehicle struck Trammel's vehicle in the rear causing Trammell's vehicle to strike Myers' vehicle in the rear. Green was cited for assured clear distance ahead and driving under suspension.
