WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with Patrick Crow of Mt. Vernon, Project Manager of  the Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Crow met with Brown during his weekly coffee with constituents while vising Washington, D.C.

“It was an honor to meet with Patrick,” said Brown. “His dedication to growing Ohio’s communities will bring new investments to our towns and attract visitors.”

Crow is working on the preservation of the Woodward Opera House in Mt. Vernon. The project is financed in part using the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC), which helps revitalize Ohio communities. Brown helped secure a five-year extension of the NMTC in the year-end tax bill in December so Ohio communities can continue use the credit to invest in low-income areas.
