Funeral, Memorial Service Set for Danville Officer Thomas Cottrell

NEWARK -Several funeral-related activities and a memorial service for fallen Danville Police Patrolman Thomas Cottrell will be held this weekend. They are as follows:

Calling Hours:

Friday, Jan. 22nd from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm

Due to the volume of vehicles expected, Newark Police will be closing N. 21st Street on Friday to all through traffic from Meadowbrook Dr. to Jackson Blvd./Catalina Dr. from 1pm to 9pm. Additionally, four of Newark's school buildings, Newark High School, Liberty Middle School and John Clem and Legend elementary schools, will allow early pick up of students.
