On January 10, a deputy responded to a home on Martinsburg Rd, Mount Vernon in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival the deputy spoke with the complainant. She stated the the night before at about 11:15 PM a white full size pick up that "sits up kind of high with amber lights on top with a diesel motor" pulled into her driveway and went back to her barn. She said she heard the truck get stuck so she walked outside to see who it was. As she approached the vehicle, it pulled away and left the area.
On the night of the 10th, the same truck pulled back in her driveway and shined a spot light on her house. When she came running out, the driver pulled away, the complainant said she thinks whomever is driving the truck is casing her residence because her landlord has a storage barn next to her barn that has ATV's and dirt bikes in it. She did say the barn was locked up but she is still concerned.
The deputy searched the area but was unable to locate the vehicle matching the description given.
