MOUNT VERNON – Three defendants
were sentenced today by Judge Otho Eyster in the Knox County Court of Common
Pleas. Prosecutor McConville also announced that Pedro Montalvo Jr., 43, of
Mount Vernon was arrested last night in Hidalgo County, Texas and is currently
being held in an adult detention center in Edinburg, Texas. He was arrested
after a nationwide warrant was issued out of the Knox County Court of Common
Pleas with a $25,000 bond.
Montalvo was found with the help of
the US Marshall Service and arrested by Mission Police. He is expected to be
extradited next week. Montalvo has been indicted on 18 counts of Pandering
Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor.
Robert C. Fulton, 32, of Mount
Vernon was sentenced for Possession of Heroin, a fifth degree felony. A
suspicious suspect call was made, resulting in the arrest of Fulton for an
active warrant. As a result Fulton was found in possession of heroin. He was
sentenced to 11 months in prison with a 6 month driver’s license suspension.
Aaron I. Wolf, 36, of Mount Vernon
was sentenced for Violating a Protection Order, a fifth-degree felony. He was
sentenced to 6 months in prison.
Andrew R. Havice, 29, of Columbus,
was sentenced for three counts of Receiving Stolen Property and one count of
Possession of Drugs, all fifth degree felonies. Havice was in possession of
four credit cards belonging to three different victims and Suboxone at the time
of his arrest. He was sentenced to 11 months in prison on each offense to be
served concurrently. Havice was also ordered to pay $3,335 in restitution and
will serve 3 years of post-release control after serving time in prison.
Two warrants were ordered by Judge
Otho Eyster today. Rickey R. Gockenbach, 58, of Columbus failed to appear for arraignment
and Dane Ferenbaugh, 33, of Fredericktown failed to appear for sentencing.
