Deputies Promoted and Awarded at Knox County Sheriff's Office

MOUNT VERNON - The Office of the Knox County Sheriff today announced the promotions of Deputies David Light and James Ferenbaugh to the rank of sergeant. Both officers are assigned to the Detective Division. David Light joined the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in 1993 and was assigned as a detective in 2007. James Ferenbaugh joined the agency in 2003 and was assigned as a detective in 2012.

Deputy Danial Bobo has been selected by his co-workers as the 2015 Officer of the Year. Dan joined the agency in 2001. He has worked in the Jail, Patrol, and Detective Divisions. He is currently assigned to the Knox County Department of Job and Family Services to assist in crimes against children investigations.
