MOUNT VERNON - At approximately 5:07 AM this morning, the Mount Vernon Police Department took Noelle Devlin into custody. Devlin was found to be at a residence located at 214 James St. She was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
Devlin, 31, a former Interactive Media and Instruction teacher a Mansfield Choice Academies, was wanted on an warrant out of the Richland County Common Pleas Court. She is charged with 15 counts of sexual battery, which are third degree felonies, and 16 counts of endangering children, first degree misdemeanors. She has no existing criminal history.
She was fired from her teaching position in October and was recently listed on the Richland County Division of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force's Most Wanted List. She allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student between June 1 and October 5 of this year. She had been teaching at the school since September 2014.
Her most recent address is listed as being in Mount Vernon.
Devlin's arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow, December 8, at 1 PM before Judge Garry Dalbey in Richland County Common Pleas Court.
