A complainant in the area of Pittsburgh Ave., Mount Vernon advised that his vehicle door had been pried open and that he had two duffle bags, one containing a Solus Ultra scanner and the other had work clothing in it. The bags were black and blue Cornwell bag and a red and black snap-on bag. The complainant provided a serial number for the Solus Ultra scanner.


A deputy was dispatched to Dollar General at 673 North Sandusky Street on the complaint of a shoplifting suspect. The deputy responded and spoke with the suspect, Meredith Mason, of Mount Vernon. She was arrested for obstructing official business and on a warrant out of Delaware County.


On Friday, December 4th, 2015, a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Chase Ave. in Gambier on a 911 hang-up call. Dispatch advised that a male called 911 twice and then hung-up on them while they were trying to speak with him. A deputy made contact with the caller.


A complainant in the 16000 block of Carson Rd., Mount Vernon, advised that an unknown individual entered his locked residence through a side door. A generator, nail gun and miscellaneous jewelry was taken.


A victim reported that unknown person(s) got into his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the Howard parking area of the Kokosing Gap Trail and took a camera and some loose change.
