Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 11/20 - 11/23

David Eshelman, 70, of Mount Vernon was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left.

Devin Frazee, 30, of Mount Vernon was arrested and charged with assault.

Abduhomid Djamalov, 42, of Tacoma Washington, was cited for having an oversize/overweight vehicle on local streets.

 Michael Randulic, 46, of Canton, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Curtis Engle, 41, of Alexandria, was cited for driving under suspension, failure to control, and driving with fictitious pates.

Richard Hunt, 60, of Newark, was cited for improper turning at an intersection.

Derek Smith, 36, of Bucyrus, was cited for failure to control.

Austin Priest, 20, of Mount Vernon, was cited for underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

Angel Harvey, 19, of Newark, was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.

Senace Jarvis, 26, of Mount Vernon was arrested for disorderly conduct,  



A 2011 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Connie Hoops was stopped at a stop on N. Gay St. and Wooster Rd. and a 2010 Chevy Traverse, driven by Michael Randulic was behind Hoops both facing north bound.  Randulic thought Hoops proceeded through the intersection when she didn't.  Randulic then rear ended Hoops’ vehicle.


A 2004 GMC Sierra, driven by Dennis Barrett, was traveling northbound on North Sandusky Street. Barrett failed to maneuver the curve just north of West Hamtramck Street. His vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.


A 2008 Chevy Impala, driven by William Webber and a 2013 Chevy Silverado, driven by Wayne Buskirk were parked northwest bound in the R&M Southside Diner parking lot. Webber backed southeast bound striking Buskirk’s vehicle in the right rear corner. Webber left a note on the vehicle providing his contact information before leaving the scene. Officers able to follow up with Webber and obtain his information and an admission of fault for the crash.




On November 13, a victim reported a menacing incident.

On November 20, at approximately 10:10 AM, while at the Learning Center, an officer responded to an altercation.

On November 20, at 9:58 AM, officers responded to a residential alarm in the 1000 block of E. Chestnut St.

On November 20, at approximately 4:53 PM, officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 700 block of N. Main St. Officers recovered two used syringes and a white shoe string.

On November 20, officers responded to the 300 block of Vernedale Dr. on a parking complaint.

On Novemebr 21, in the 200 block of Chester St., officers while investigating another complaint, officers were informed of a break-in attempt.

On November 21, a victim reported her vehicle had been taken and her bank card had been stolen.

On November 21, officers responded to a commercial alarm in the 200 block of E. Gambier St. Officers arrived to find the door unsecured. The interior of the business appeared to be in order. Contact was made with a keyholder. The building was secured by the keyholder.

On November 21, a harassment complaint was filed in the 0-100 block of Woodberry Dr.

On November 21, officers responded to a theft complaint in the 200 block of N. Mulberry St.

On November 21, officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of E. Hamtramck St.

On November 22, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of E. Sugar St.
