November 2, 2015

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio--Mount Vernon Nazarene University's theatre program, MVNU Theatre, presents N. Richard Nash's romantic comedy The Rainmaker, directed by Ryan Long, Assistant Professor of Theatre at MVNU. The Rainmaker was first produced in 1954 and was made into a film starring Katherine Hepburn and Burt Lancaster in 1956. Nash also later adapted it into a Broadway musical titled 110 in the Shade. Its most recent Broadway revival in 1999-2000 earned actress Jayne Atkinson a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play.

Performances will be on Friday, Nov. 6; Saturday, Nov. 7; Friday, Nov. 13; and Saturday, Nov. 14. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in Thorne Performance Hall inside the R.R.
