Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents – 10/8 - 10/13

October 14, 2015 – 8:46 pm

Arrests

On October 8 Allen Henderson of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of arrest of a probationer. 

On October 12 Clay Hartstock of Baltimore was arrested on charges of abusing harmful intoxicants.

On October 13 Brian Hess of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of assault and domestic violence. 

Accidents

On October 13 at 11:56 am a crash occurred on Coshocton Ave. at Eastgate Dr.  A vehicle was travelling west approaching the intersection when the driver suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a second vehicle stopped for the stop sign on Eastgate Dr. facing south.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On October 13 at 5:40 pm a crash occurred on Marma Dr.  A vehicle was parked on the east side of Marma Dr. when another unknown vehicle struck the first.  Damage was done to the driver side rear of the car.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On October 12 officers responded to a parking complaint on the 200 block of E. Chestnut St.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On October 13 at 6:30 pm officers responded to found property on the first block of Third Ave.  A black samurai sword and a black plastic sheath were found.  The sword was placed in evidence. Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

On October 13 at 10:45 pm officers responded to found property on the 100 block of Ames St.  An Ohio Id card, two social security number cards, Human Services Program, SBC Card and a voter ID card were found.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.
