Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 10/9 – 10/11


October 12, 2015 - 7 pm

 

Arrests

On October 9 at 12:49 am officers responded to a domestic violence incident on the 200 block of Cottage St. Tommy Keyes of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of domestic violence, assault and possessing marijuana drug paraphernalia.  A blue metal pipe was seized.  Officer Zachary Miller was the reporting officer.

On October 9 at 6:09 am officers responded to a suspicious person on the 1500 block of Coshocton Ave.  Zachary Elkins of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of possessing drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia offenses.  Two hypodermic needles were seized.  Officer Qade Lewis was the reporting officer.

On October 9 Robert Smith of Mt. Vernon was cited for driving under suspension.  He was also charged with drug paraphernalia offenses.

On October 9 Christopher Schaade of Mt. Vernon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On October 9 at 9:36 pm officers responded to a fight on the 100 block of Quarry St. Matthew Adams of Martinsburg and Timothy Kupiec of Mt Vernon were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.  Kimberly Roush of Martinsburg was also arrested.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

On October 10 Brandon Morningstar of Mount Vernon was arrested.  He was cited for driving under the influence, driving under the influence within 20 years of a prior offense and loud sound amplifications.  He was also charged with marihuana drug paraphernalia.

On October 10 Michael Donell of Mt. Vernon was arrested on charges of domestic violence.

On October 10 Joanna Waulk of Sparta was arrested on a warrant.

On October 10 at 3:04 am officers responded to an incident of disorderly conduct in the area of Mechanic St. and High St. Erik Oswalt of Butler was charged with disorderly conduct. Officer Qade Lewis was the reporting officer.

On October 11 at 8:11 pm officers performed a traffic stop on Sychar Rd. and Sycamore St. due to a headlight being out.  Joshua Rieser of Mount Vernon was charged for marihuana drug paraphernalia and drug abuse. Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

Citations

On October 9, Logan Hammons of Danville was cited for driving under FRA suspension. 

On October 9, Daniel Walton of Mt. Vernon was cited for driving under FRA suspension.

On October 11 Kimberly Elwood of Howard was cited for driving under suspension.

Accidents

On October 9 at 11:28 am an accident occurred on S. Park St. near the intersection with E. High St.  A vehicle was parked on the east side of S. Park when a second vehicle struck the front driver’s side area of the first vehicle and left the scene. Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On October 11 at 12:59 pm an accident occurred in the Walmart parking lot on Coshocton Ave. Two vehicles were backing out of their parking spaces at approximately the same time and backed into each other.  No video surveillance was available.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

 Incidents

On October 9 at 9:55 am officers responded to found property on the first block of McGibney Rd.  A citizen reported finding a plastic baggie containing an unknown white crystalized substance.  Officers seized the item and placed it in evidence with a request to be destroyed. Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On October 9 at 2:23 pm officers responded to a citizen who reported lost property. A Quebec License Plate was reported lost.  Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On October 9 at 3:05 pm officers responded to a telecommunication harassment complaint on the 200 block of Vernedale Dr.    Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On October 9 at 9:24 pm officers responded to a criminal mischief incident on the 300 block of S. Main St. The rear door and fan vent were damaged at the property in question. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On October 10 at 3:47 pm officers responded to a theft on the 300 block of E. Pleasant St. An Ipod touch was stolen.  Officer Travis Tharp was the reporting officer.

On October 10 at 3:22 pm officers responded to domestic violence on the 200 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On October 10 at 4:48 pm officers responded to a disturbance on the first block of Harcourt St. Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On October 10 at 9:59 pm officers responded to a burglary and felonious assault on the 500 block of N. Jefferson St.  A brown and white pit-bull dog was stolen.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On October 10 at 10:24 pm officers responded to a theft on the 200 block of Shirley Ave. Medication was stolen. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On October 11 at 1:58 pm officers responded to criminal damaging or endangering on the 600 block of N. Mulberry St. A section of fence was damaged.  Officer Travis Tharp was the reporting officer.
