Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 10/6-10/8

October 9, 2015 – 9:34 pm

Arrests

On October 6 Stacie Kilpatrick of Mount Vernon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On October 7 at 2:02 am a crash occurred on E. Hamtrack St.  A vehicle traveling west bound on E. Hamtrack rear ended a second vehicle that was parked on the south side of the road.  Christian Rine of Mount Vernon was arrested.  Rine was also cited for driving under the influence, driving under the influence within 20 years of a prior offense and failure to control/weaving course.  Officer Lewis Qade was the reporting officer.

On October 8 William Cummings of Newark was arrested for a house arrest violation.

On October 8 Allen Henderson of Mount Vernon was arrested for a parole violation.

On October 8 Melvin Fiske of Mount Vernon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Citations

On October 6 Nancy Thayer of Fredericktown was cited for failing to assure clear distance ahead.

On October 7 Jennifer Yeager of Mount Vernon was cited for a red light.

On October 7 at 4:30 pm a crash occurred on N. Main St. Two vehicles were traveling south bound on N. Main.  One vehicle entered the left lane to turn eastbound onto Chestnut St.  Another vehicle also attempted to move into the left lane, striking the first vehicle. Linda J. Stanley of Mount Vernon was cited in the crash for driving in marked or continuous lines.   Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On October 7 at 7:53 pm a crash occurred on Coshocton Ave. at Verndale Dr.  Two vehicles were stopped at the traffic light, one behind the other.  The second vehicle began to drive before the light turned green and rear-ended the first.  Victor Ryan Williams was cited in the crash for failing to assure clear distance ahead. Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On October 8 at 12:23 pm a crash occurred on Coshocton Ave. near Hilltop Dr.  Two vehicles were travelling east bound on Coshocton Ave.  One vehicle slowed for traffic and was rear-ended by the second. Carolyn Hallam of Howard was cited in the crash for failing to assure clear distance ahead. Officer Brian Weiser was the reporting officer.

On October 8 at 7:53 pm a crash occurred on Gambier St.  A vehicle was traveling northbound on S. Main and stopped for the stop sign.  A second vehicle was travelling eastbound on W. High St.  and failed to stop for the stop sign, striking the first vehicle as it entered the intersection. Caitlin Ehrenberg of Minnesota was cited in the crash for operation at a stop sign.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

 

Accidents

On October 8 at 6:06 pm a crash occurred on Coshocton Ave. close to Sychar Rd. Two vehicles were heading eastbound when one of them stopped suddenly and was rear-ended by a second vehicle. Officer Andrew Burns was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On October 8 at 7:56 am officers responded to a theft on the 900 block of W. Sugar St.  A boy’s red and black Huffy mountain bicycle was stolen.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On October 8 at 1:04 pm officers responded to a theft on the 200 block of E. Gambier St. Two bras, a t-shirt and a pair of women’s sandals were stolen.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On October 8 at 9:02 pm officers responded to an assault on the 700 block of E. High St. Officer Andrew Burns was the reporting officer.
