MOUNT VERNON - Knox
County Sheriff's Office Detectives and Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are continuing to
process the scene of a double homicide on St. Rt. 36 just east of Mount
The two victims have been identified as Sandra Lee Stelk, a 50
year old female from Mount Vernon, and Jaime Linn Barber a 23 year old
female from Mount Vernon. According to the Prosecutors office, both victims lived at the residence.
The prosecutor's office says that investigators have not yet established the exact manner in which they were killed. Investigators
are continuing to search for Travis Bonham. Travis is the son of Stelk
and the boyfriend of Barber.
He is described as a white male, heavily
tattooed, average build, medium height. It is believed that he is
driving a black 2011 Dodge Charger license plate STELK2. He is said to
have ties to the Utica and Newark area and may be heading for Licking County.
The vehicle that he may be driving is
registered to Sandra. It is a black 2011 Dodge Charger, license plate "STELK 2".
According to the Prosecutor's Office, they do not know, at this time, whether Travis is
responsible for the deaths. He was called a "person of interest" at an earlier press conference by Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer.
