MOUNT VERNON - At a press conference this afternoon, Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer announced that the victims of the homicide at 18628 Coshocton Rd. were both female.
According to Shaffer, 911 dispatchers received a call from a relative of one of the victims, saying that the victim had been assaulted and might be deceased. When deputies arrived, they found the two deceased females.
Shaffer declined to reveal their identities until family members were notified.
Travis Bonham, 31, is described as a "person of interest" by Shaffer and is wanted for questioning.
He is described as a white male, heavily
tattooed, average build, medium height. It is believed that he is
driving a black 2011 Dodge Charger license plate STELK2. According to Shaffer, Bonham may
have ties to the Newark area and may be heading for Licking County.
When asked if the vehicle was stolen, Shaffer replied with, "I don't know if he has permission to be driving that vehicle on a regular basis".
Shaffer said that "Officers have just got inside the residence after they obtained a warrant from the Knox County Prosecutors office".
When asked if this was the first homicide of the year in Knox County, Shaffer wasn't sure, but replied with "probably so".
Those who have information on the murders, or know bonham's whereabouts should contact the Knocx County Sheriff's Office.
