Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 9/24 – 9/27

Arrests

On September 24, Jessica Joslin and Jade Eberhardt, both of Mount Vernon, were arrested on charges of theft on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave.

On September 27 at 3 am officers responded to domestic violence and assault on the 200 block of W Gambier St. Andrew Seagraves, 53 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on charges of assault and domestic violence.  Officer Zachary Miller was the reporting officer.

On September 27 Nicole Mitchell, 27 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on a warrant.

Citations

On September 24, Kevin Lee of Toledo was cited for turning at intersections.

On September 26, Robert Wirick of Mount Vernon was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle.

On September 26 at 12:05 pm a crash occurred on Coshocton Ave. at the intersection with Highland Dr.  A vehicle was stopped at the intersection for traffic when another vehicle rear-ended the first.  Patricia L. Ragor of Mount Vernon was cited in the crash for failing to assure clear distance ahead.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer. 

Accidents

On September 25 at 7:05 pm a crash occurred at the intersection of South Gay St. and East Gambier St.  A vehicle was traveling east bound on E. Gambier St. and another vehicle was traveling north bound in the east lane of S. Gay St.  The two vehicles collided and both drivers claim they had right of way to proceed through the intersection. Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer. 

On September 26 at 2:01 pm an accident occurred in a parking lot on the first block of Newark Rd.  A vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck a second vehicle who was stopped and traveling east through the parking lot.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On September 26 at 3:09 pm an accident occurred on the first block of Highmeadow Dr.  A car backed out of a driveway and struck a parked car.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On September 27 at 3:59 pm an accident occurred on Coshocton Ave. close to the intersection with Woodlake Trail.  Two vehicles were traveling west bound and one of the vehicles attempted to change lanes, striking the vehicle traveling next to it.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On September 25 at 11:20 am officers responded to a complaint of an intoxicated juvenile on the 900 block of W. Vine St.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 25 9 am officers responded to disorderly contact on the 900 block of W. Vine St.  Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On September 25 at 3:15 pm officers responded to a burglary on the 200 block of Chester St.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

On September 26 at 7:46 am officers responded to a telecommunication harassment complaint on the 900 block of Beech St.   Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 26 at 12:47 pm officers responded to a theft on the 900 block of Coshocton Ave.  Jewelry including a class ring, engagement ring, emerald ring, and gold necklace were stolen with an estimated value of $210.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On September 26 at 2:40 pm officers found a set of keys at the intersection of Gambier and Edgewood.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

On September 27 at 1:30 pm officers responded to domestic violence on the 100 block of Oakway Dr.  Officer Travis Tharp was the reporting officer.

On September 27 at 5:30 pm officers responded to a theft on the 1500 block of Coshocton Ave.  A sweeper, toilet paper and paper towels were stolen.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.
