Citations

On September 24, Daniel Benedict of Bellville was cited for expired or unlawful license plates. 

On September 23 Sadie Bonham, 19 of Heath, was cited for failing to assure clear distance ahead.

Accidents

On September 24 at 10:55 am an accident occurred at the intersection of S. Mulberry and W. Gambier Streets.  A vehicle was travelling south bound on S. Mulberry when it was struck by a second vehicle that ran a red light heading west bound on W. Gambier St.  Barbara Snow, of Mount Vernon, was cited in the accident for failing to stop at the red light.  Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On September 24 at 11:09 am an accident occurred on E. High St. at the intersection with N. Gay St.  A vehicle stopped at the traffic light was rear-ended by a second vehicle. Douglas Whitaker of Mount Vernon was cited in the accident for failing to assure clear distance ahead.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 24 at 11:22 am an accident occurred on Teryl Dr.  A car attempted to pass another car ahead of him, but had to pull back into his lane due to oncoming traffic.  The car attempting to pass hit the other car in the process.  Robert Vanhorn of Mount Vernon was cited in the crash for changing lanes without safety.  Officer Brian Weiser was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On September 24, officers responded to a report of forgery on the 800 block of Shalimar Dr.  A fraudulent check was reported.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 24 at 2:49 pm officers responded to a theft on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave.  Alcohol and other items totaling a value of $337 were stolen.  Officer Brian Weiser was the reporting officer.

On September 24 at 4:04 pm officers responded to a disturbance on the first block of Adamson St.  A juvenile was reported for disorderly conduct.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.
