Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 9/10

September 11, 2015 – 4:45 pm

Arrests

On September 10 at 9:30 am officers responded to a call regarding a fight on the 100 block of McGibney Rd.  Elizabeth Snyder and Megan King, both 22 and of Butler, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 5:07 pm officers responded to a disturbance on the 300 block of N. Jefferson St. Brian Gardner, 43 of Mount Vernon, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments.  A bag of crystal like substance, hypodermic needles and several knives were recovered.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

Accidents

On September 10 at 5:07 pm, a crash occurred in the Walmart Parking lot on Coshocton Ave.  A car backing out of a parking space and attempting to change direction to travel in the parking lot aisle hit a second car parked in the lot.  Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On September 10 at 8:08 am officers responded to the 200 block of Shirley Ave. on a report of an abandoned vehicle.  The vehicle was towed and impounded at the city impound lot.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 9 am officers assisted Mount Vernon Code Enforcement officers in towing a vehicle on the 100 block of Coshocton Ave.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 11 am officers responded to a burglary on the 200 block of E. Hamtramck St. A DVD player and DVDs were stolen.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 1:24 pm officers responded to a fraud report on the 100 block of E. Sugar St.  A counterfeit 20$ bill was recovered.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 2:06 pm officers responded to a report of theft on the 700 block of W. High St. A prepaid cell phone and EBT card were stolen.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 5:00 pm officers responded to a theft on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave. Four hundred and thirty dollars’ worth of merchandise was stolen.  Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

On September 10 at 8:25 pm officers responded to a report of menacing on the first block of N. Gay St.  Officer Andrew Burns was the reporting officer.
