Mount Vernon Police Department Reports and Incidents 8/31


September 1, 2015- 11:40 am


Arrests:

On August 31 Roy Burkett 36, of Mount Vernon was arrested for falsification and warrant-probation violation on W. Chestnut St.

On August 31 Danny Geiger 55, of Mount Vernon was arrested for domestic violence on S. Main St. 


Accidents:

On August 31 at 6:36 am, there was an accident in the Jeldwen parking lot when two vehicles backed out of their parking spaces at the same time and one vehicle backed into the other. Officer Zachary Miller was the reporting officer. 

On August 31 at 5:08 pm, there was an accident at the intersection of S. Mulberry St and W. Vine St. A vehicle traveling southbound failed to yeild and was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound.

 

Citations:

On August 31 Lisa Nutter 45, of Zanesville was cited for a "red light" on S. Mulberry St. 


Incidents:

On August 31 at 10:36 am officers responded to a report of domestic violence on the 1300 block of Coshocton Ave. Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer. 

On August 31 at 2:07 pm officers responded to a report of a found wallet on Highland Dr.- it was turned into the police department. Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer. 

On August 31 at 3:54 pm officers responded to a report of fraud on Fairway Dr. Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer. 

On August 31 at 4:19 pm officers responded to a report of assault on N. Gay St. Officer Andrew Burns was the reporting officer.

On August 31 at 8:57 pm officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Elliott St. Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.
