Knox County Sheriff’s Office Reports and Incidents 8/25 - 8/26

August 27, 2015 – 8:20 pm

Arrests:

On August 25 at 7:29 pm Justin Smith of Fredericktown was arrested on an active warrant from the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.   Smith was transported to the Knox County Jail. Deputy Terry Wolfe was the reporting officer.

Incidents:

On August 26, deputies responded to a fraud complaint on the 9100 block of Keys Rd. in Mount Vernon. The victim reported that her Social Security Administration number had been used to make purchases at a store in South Carolina.  Officers advised the victim to contact Social Security Administration services and her credit card companies. Deputy Scott Baker was the reporting officer.

On August 26, deputies responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle on the first block of Orchard View Ct. in Howard.  The complainant reported that an unknown person tried to gain entry to the trunk of his father’s vehicle which the complainant uses.  Damage was caused by what appears to have been an attempt to pry open the trunk with a narrow object.  Deputy Wayne Noggle was the reporting officer.
