Sheriff's Office Conducts Drug Sweeps Across County

MOUNT VERNON - On
Wednesday August 20, 2015 officers from the Knox County Sheriff’s
Office and the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted a
concentrated drug enforcement effort in locations around Mount Vernon.
As a result of traffic stops that were conducted, drugs that included
suspected crystal meth, bath salts, and marijuana were seized.
and officers from the Tactical Response Unit also conducted a search
warrant at a Crystal Ave. residence. Items seized by officers included a
handgun, drug abuse instruments, and cash as well as suspected hash,
crystal meth, marijuana, and pills.
a result of these activities several follow up investigations are
