Arrests

On August 18 at 10:03 am, Tara Huff of Mount Vernon was arrested for a house arrest violation on the first block of Riverside Dr. Drugs were also found and seized by the officers.  Office Zachary Miller was the reporting officer.

On August 18 at 4:20 pm, officers responded to shoplifting on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave. A Covergirl product and Italian Seasoning were stolen.  Meagan McGrady of Mount Vernon was arrested on charges of theft and an outstanding warrant.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

Citations

On August 17 at 6:36 am a crash occurred on Newark Road. Two cars were travelling northbound when the first car stopped for traffic.  The second car failed to stop and rear-ended the first. Silas Alberts of Mount Vernon was cited for following too closely.  Officer Zachary Miller was the reporting officer.

On August 17 at 1:07 pm there was a crash on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave.  Two cars were parked facing southbound.  One of the vehicles began to roll forward and struck a pedestrian, pinning her between the two cars. Debra Denzer, the driver of the moving vehicle was cited for failure to control.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

Accidents

On August 17 at 3 am a crash occurred on the first block of McGibney in a parking lot.  Two cars were parked facing northbound. One of the vehicles was backing out southwest bound and struck the other car on the left side.  The vehicle left the scene without reporting the crash.  Officer Justin Trowbridge was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On August 17 at 9:14 am, officers responded to a report of a child found without supervision on the 800 block of W. Vine St.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 17 at 1:30 pm officers responded to a theft on the 900 block of W. High St.  The medication Klonopin was reported as stolen.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 18 at 12:01 am officers responded to vandalism on the 1000 block of W. Chestnut St. A window had been broken out.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 18 at 8:45 am, officers responded to an alarm on the 11500 block of Upper Gilchrist Rd. Officers checked the business with the manager on duty, and everything checked out ok.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 18 at 1:50 pm, officers responded to a theft on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave.  Twenty gallons of gas were stolen.  Officers recovered a driver’s license at the scene.  Officer Zachary Miller was the reporting officer.
