Accidents

On August 11 at 4:14 pm, officers responded to a crash on Coshocton Ave at the intersection with Vernon View Dr.  One vehicle was travelling westbound on Coshocton Ave and attempted to turn left onto Vernon View Dr.  The vehicle was struck by a second car travelling eastbound on Coshocton Ave. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

Citations

On August 11 at 12:06 pm officers responded to a 2-car crash on Coshocton Ave.  The two vehicles were headed eastbound when one vehicle stopped for traffic.  A second vehicle rear-ended the first.  Timothy Carper was cited in the accident for failing to assure clear distance ahead.  Officer Brian Weiser was the reporting officer.

On August 11 at 5:16 pm officers responded to a crash on the Public Square.  A vehicle was rear-ended when stopping at the crosswalk for a pedestrian and the second vehicle failed to stop.  Carolyn Hamman was cited for failing to assure clear distance ahead.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On August 11 at 6:07 am officers responded to an incident of vandalism to a car on the 16000 block of Glen Road.  The vehicle's side windows and windshield were broken. Officer Nicholas Myrda was the reporting officer.

On August 11 officers responded to an incident of criminal mischief on the 900 block of W. Chestnut Street.  A window was broken and drywall damaged at a residence on this block.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 11 officers responded to a case of tampering with coin machines on the 400 block of S. Gay St.  Coin machines and vaults were damaged or vandalized.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 11 a victim reported vandalism to her vehicle on the first block of Parrott St.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 11 at 2:11 pm a theft was reported on the first block of Mt. Vernon Ave.  A woman’s leather jacket, McIntosh computer with an external drive, one cd/dvd burner/player, youth Halloween costume, silver candle sticks and books were stolen.  Officer Brian Weiser was the reporting officer.

On August 11 officers responded to a victim who reported that he is being threatened by phone by an unknown person.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

On August 11, officers responded to the report of a stolen bicycle.  The bicycle was stolen from the 100 block of Chester St. between 9 pm on August 10 and 5:30 pm on August 11.  The bike was a 20” single speed bike spray painted green.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

On August 11 at 6:27 pm officers responded to vandalism on the 100 block of South Norton St.  Fresh concrete was damaged.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On August 11 at 7:00 pm officers responded to a theft from a vehicle on the 1000 block of New Gambier Rd.  Approximately 80$ in cash, a driver’s license, several credit cards and a work ID card were stolen.  Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

On August 11 at 8:57 pm officers responded to an incident of criminal damaging on the 200 block of Spruce St.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.
