Arrests

On August 8 at 11:45 pm Shane Miller was arrested at the Knox Community Hospital on charges of disorderly conduct.

On August 8, Jesse Bevington, 26 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 100 block of McGibney Rd.

On August 8, Kyle Walker, 20 of Marion, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 100 block of McGibney Rd.

Citations

On August 7, Daniel Rudder was cited for lack of an operator’s license on the 100 block of W. High St.

On August 8 at 9:32 am officers responded to a crash between two vehicles travelling eastbound on the Public Square.  The first vehicle rear-ended the second vehicle that had stopped to let another vehicle pull out of a parking space.  Danielle Walton, driver of the first vehicle, was cited for failing to assure clear distance ahead.

On August 9, Joshua Nicholls was cited for driving under suspension/revocation on the 500 block of S. Main St.

Accidents

On August 7 at 6:36 am a non-injury crash occurred on the 500 block of N. Sandusky St.  A car was parked facing northbound and was hit by an unknown vehicle, causing damage to the rear and left side of the car.  The unknown vehicle left the scene.

On August 7 at 7:01 am officers responded to a crash on E. Gambier St. close to the intersection with George St.  A van was travelling eastbound on East Gambier and struck the left rear of a parked car.  The van then swerved off the roadway to the right, hitting a pedestrian who was jogging westbound on the sidewalk.

On August 7 at 11:29 am officers responded to a crash on E. Chestnut St.  An unknown vehicle struck a car parked on E. Chestnut, causing damage to the rear of the car.

Incidents

On August 5 at 10:30 pm officers responded to a theft from a vehicle on the 300 block of E. Vine St.  Two portable DVD players and unknown CDs were stolen.  Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 12:15 am officers responded to an incident of vandalism of a vehicle on the 200 block of N. Division St.  A big rock had been thrown at a window of the vehicle.  Officer Nicholas Myrda was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 10:42 am officers responded to an incident of vandalism on the 200 block of Columbus Rd. The victim’s building was spray painted.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 1:37 pm officers responded to an incident of theft from a vehicle on the 600 block of N. Sandusky St.  Prescription medicine (Subatex, Buprenorphine) was stolen from the vehicle.  Officer Matthew Haver was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 3:51 pm officers responded to an incident of disorderly conduct on the 200 block of Coshocton Ave.  An ongoing neighbor dispute was in progress.  Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 9:12 pm officers responded to a report of a lost wallet on the first block of N. Gay St.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 10:10 pm officers responded to a report of assault on the first block of Belmont Ave. Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.

On August 7 at 10:31 pm officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the 200 block of Chester St.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On August 8 at 3:01 am officers responded to a burglary on the 200 block of W. Curtis St.  Officer Nicholas Myrda was the reporting officer. 

On August 8 at 5:11 pm officers responded to a call from the first block of Park Rd. regarding a case of fraud.

On August  8 at 9 pm officers responded to a suicide on the 300 block of Chester St. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On August 9, officers responded to an incident of breaking and entering on the 100 block of E. Burgess St.  A Murray push mower and green weed eater were stolen from the property.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 9 at 3:27 pm officers responded to an incident of vandalism on the 700 block of Shalimar Drive. The right front tire of the victim’s vehicle was damaged.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.
