Arrests

On August 5 at 3:28 pm Zachary Elkins, 27 of Mansfield and Steven Miller, 27 of Howard, were arrested for shoplifting on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave. 

On August 5 at 3:30 pm Sarah Hedinger, 33 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 100 block of Chestnut St.

On August 5 at 6:16 pm, Jessie Miller, 28 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on charges of theft, hypodermic possession and a probation violation on the 800 block of Coshocton Ave. 

On August 5 at 9:43 pm Nicole Young was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct on the 1100 block of S. Main St. 

On August 6 at 12:27 am, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on the 100 block of Quarry St.  Officers found and arrested Shawn Price, 29 of Mount Vernon on charges of criminal trespassing, possessing drug abuse instruments and receiving stolen property.   Hypodermic needles, a GPS device, several car chargers, 3 pocket knives and a large hunting knife were found in Price‚Äôs possession.  Officer Jessica Butler was the reporting officer.

Incidents

On August 6 at 8:38 am, officers responded to a theft on the 100 block of Ohio Ave.  The victim reported an incident of credit card theft with a value of $49.20.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 6 at 10:00 am officers responded to the 400 block of N. Mulberry St. to assist the Mount Vernon Fire Department.  Evidence including a syringe, rubber bracelet, spoon and lighter was collected.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 6 at 4:59 pm officers responded to a theft on the 1300 block of Yauger Rd.  The victim reported a theft of silver and diamond engagement and wedding rings.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.
