Arrests


On August 3 at 11:59 pm Emily Bricker, 26 of Mount Vernon, was arrested on charges of violation of temporary protection on the 300 block of N. Main St.

On August 4 at 5:30 pm officers responded to an assault and theft on the 100 block of East Burgess St.  A flip phone was stolen.  Robert Humphrey, 36, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on charges of theft, assault and possession of drug abuse instruments.  Upon incarceration at the Knox County Jail hypodermic needles were found in Humphrey’s possession.  Officer Travis Tharp was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 7:15 pm officers responded to an incident of disorderly conduct at a convenience store on the first block of N. Sandusky St.  Andrea Stenger was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct with persistence. She is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.  Officer Jason Payne was the reporting officer.

Citations

On August 3 at 6:19 am Joseph Upton was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead in a non-injury crash on Coshocton Ave. 

On August 3 at 7:53 pm Walter Hendrickson was cited for failing to obey traffic control devices on W. High St.

On August 4 at 12:41 pm James Duffey  was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead on Newark Rd. and Mount Vernon Ave.

Incidents

On August 3 at 10:30 pm officers responded to a theft on the 100 block of N. Clinton St. A digital camera, GPS device, medical inhalers and loose change were stolen out of the vehicle of the victim.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 11:11 am officers responded to a theft.  A set of car keys with FOB and a checkbook were stolen from the victim’s residence on the 100 block of Highland Dr.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 10:40 am officers responded to a theft on the 1600 block of Coshocton Ave.  A candy bar was stolen from a gas station.  The candy bar wrapper was recovered at the scene.  Officer David McElroy was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 8:06 pm officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 200 block of E. Burgess St.  The vehicle is described as a green Honda Accord.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 7:21 pm officers responded to a theft on the 500 block of S. Main St. The victim reported that $954 worth of miscellaneous merchandise was stolen from the store.  Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

On August 4 at 10:30 pm officers responded to a disturbance on the 800 block of W. Chestnut St. Officers discovered an open fire in which individuals had placed a chair, causing the fire to grow so large that it burned the power line entering the residence in half.  Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.
