Mount Vernon Police Department Incidents and Reports - 7/30

Accidents

On July 30 at 4:36 pm an unidentified semi-trailer was travelling southbound on South Mulberry St. and attempted to turn westbound onto West Ohio Avenue.  The semi struck the utility pole on the corner causing damage to the pedestrian traffic control device and left the scene.

Incidents

On July 30 at 10:30 am officers responded to a residence alarm called in by ADT security on the 200 block of S.  Jefferson St.  The officers checked the exterior of the residence and found everything to be in order.  The residents did not answer the door.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On July 30 at 10: 30 am officers responded to a report of soliciting in the Walmart parking lot located on Coshocton Ave.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On July 30 at 12:30 pm a theft was reported at a diner on the 600 block of South Main St.  A Humane Society donation jar was stolen from the premises.  Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

On July 30 at 4:36 pm officers responded to a civil matter on the 100 block of Quarry St.  Officer Aaron Collins was the reporting officer.

On July 30 at 6:28 pm officers responded to a disturbance at a supermarket on the 600 block of W. High St.  Reporting officer was Aaron Collins.

On July 30 at 10:18 pm officers responded to a disturbance on the 700 block of Follin Ave. Officer Nicholas Holdren was the reporting officer.
