Mount Vernon Police Department Citations, Incidents, and Reports - 7/21

Citations and Arrests

On July 18 at 8:23 PM, Tyler Montgomery, 24, of Mount Vernon, was cited for no operator’s license and fictitious plates.


On July 18 at 10:19 PM, Jody Sherman, 47, of Mount Vernon, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.


On July 21 at 9:44 AM, Richard Poole, 34, of Columbus was arrested on a probation violation.



Incidents

At 9:02 AM, officers responded to a call from Frank Lewis, at 105 Quarry St. Mr. Lewis stated that several tools had gone missing from his garage over the past several weeks. Officer Brian Durbin was the reporting officer.

 

At 12:15 PM, officers responded to the residence of William Wagner, at 6 Washington St. Mr. Wagner reported a break-in at his residence. Damage to the front door was reported. Officer Scott McKnight was the reporting officer.

 

At 3:57 PM, officers responded to a burglary at 302 N. Main St. B upon a call from Aaron M. Harvey. Reported damage was as follows: The front door jam and window pane, back door dead bolt lock, and the lock on the garage door were tampered with or damaged.   Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

Officers were later called back to the residence at 7:04 PM where a Sub box with twelve inch subwoofers and a 1000 watt Kenwood Amplifier were reported stolen.  Officer Travis Tharp was the reporting officer on the second call.

 

At 3:44 PM, officers responded to a theft reported by Kurstain L Everhart, at 44 Plaza Dr. B. Items reported stolen were Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones and a laptop computer. Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

 

At 4:34 PM, a disturbance was reported at 5 Fairway Dr. Officer Michael Wheeler was the reporting officer.

 

At 5:27 PM, officers responded to the residence of Jim Juijen Huang, at 405 E. High St. Huang reported a burglary at his residence. Items reported stolen were a bike seat, tire, tools for a bike, a light bulb, a razor, and a bag of tools. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

 

At 7:29 PM, officers responded to a theft reported by Debbie Stricker at 114 N. McKenzie St. A solar light that sits on a pedestal and has a cord with a solar panel was reported stolen. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.

 

At 11:33 PM, officers responded to 600 W. Vine St on a domestic situation. Officer Zachary Uhler was the reporting officer.
