Mount Vernon Police Department Reports from 5/9

Chance Hatten, 29, of Utica, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.

Brian Gardner, 43, of Mount Vernon, was cited for a headlight violation.

Jacob McQueen, 31, of Mount Vernon, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation, reckless operation, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.


The victim stated that at some point between May 8 at 5 PM and May 9 at 8:28 AM, someone broke out the drivers side window of her vehicle. An iPod Touch was reported stolen. The victim stated the vehicle was locked.

An officer was dispatched to the Learning Center in reference to drugs. A small amount of marijuana and cigasrette paper were seized.

An officer responded to the 500 block of E. Gambier St. on a theft from vehicle complaint.


A 1981 Ford F-35, operated by Allen J. Marlow, of Mount Vernon, was stopped at the traffic light located at E. Gambier St. and S. Gay St. A 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Kyle J. Thompson, of Mount Vernon, was behind Marlow's vehicle. Marlow's vehicle backed into Thompson's vehicle to avoid a truck and trailer.
