Mount Vernon Police Department Reports from 4/23 - 4/25

Arrests/Citations

Erica Bayless, 30, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on a probation violation warrant.


Ricky McNatt, 41, of Mount Vernon, was cited for driving without an operator's license.


Jeffrey Jensen, 52, of Curtice, Ohio, was cited for having an oversize or overweight vehicle on local streets.


A juvenile was cited for assured clear distance ahead.


Bradlee Neitzelt, 24, of Brinkhaven, was arrested on a warrant.


Brandi Wheeler, 19, of Mt. Liberty, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.


Malaysia Walls, 23, of Mount Vernon, was charged with obstructing official business.


Jeffrey Fisher, 31, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on a warrant.


Christopher Bumpus, 19, of Mount Vernon, was arrested for possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.


Justin Lang, 18,of Mount Vernon, was arrested for possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.


Manjola Agolli-McLarnan, 35, of Columbus, was cited for a red light violation.


David Sowers, 50, of Mount Vernon, was cited for reckless operation in a location other than streets.


Reports

An officer was dispatched to the 0-100 block of Taylor Rd. on a credit card fraud/suspicious person complaint.


An officer responded to the 400 block of N. Sandusky St. A Playstation 3 with approximately five games was reported stolen.


An officer was dispatched to the Public Library on Mulberry St. on a report of a male not leaving. The males was advised not to return, or he would be arrested.


An officer was dispatched to the 0-100 block of Marcia Dr. on a report of a broken Mirror. There is a dispute on how the mirror was broken. A report was taken.


An officer was dispatched to the public Library on a report of a stolen bicycle. Library security will copy the video from the incident and advise when it is complete


An employee of Knox Community Hospital reported that a patient came into the hospital wit ha bottle of prescription medication that did not belong to him.


An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of Coshocton Ave. on a report of a theft of shoes. The officer determined that the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest. The business declined to press charges.


Accidents

A 1998 Honda CRV, operated by a juvenile, and 2006 Mercury Montana, operated by Ann Burky, of Mount Vernon, were traveling westbound on Mount Vernon Ave. Burky's vehicle stopped for traffic. The CRV failed to stop and struck Burkey's vehicle in the rear.



A 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by a juvenile, attempted to back out of a driveway, striking a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, which was parked in the driveway.


A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Paul Steele, of Mount Vernon, was traveling eastbound on Coshocton Ave., slowing in traffic. A 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, operated by Brandi Wheeler, of Mt. Liberty, was traveling eastbound on Coshocton Ave. behind Steele's vehicle. Steele's vehicle stopped for traffic. Wheeler's vehicle failed to stop in time and struck Steele's vehicle.



A 2011 Ford F-150, owned by Jana Pallotta, of Gambier, was parked and unoccupied at Walmart on Coshocton Ave. A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by David A. Sowers pulled into the parking spot behind Pallotta's vehicle, failing to stop and striking the vehicle on the left rear bumper. There was slight damage (paint rub) to both vehicles.
