Knox County Sheriff's Office Reports from 5/19 - 5/22

May 23, 2016 - 2:51 PM

A deputy was dispatched to a business in the 600 block of N. Sandusky St., Mount Vernon. A white female and black male came into the store, took some items, and then left the store without paying for the items.

Adam M. Saunders, 29, of Centerburg, was arrested on a warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court for failure to appear on driving under suspension charges and was transported to the Knox County Jail.

A deputy was dispatched to ball fields on Henpeck Rd. near Bladensburg in reference to someone breaking into the concession stand.

The deputy observed that the door to the concession stand had been forced open breaking the door jamb. A second shed, containing equipment used to take care of the ball fields, had been broken into by pulling several boards off the back. The complainant stated the only thing missing was some soda and some candy but she didn't know how much of each.

A complainant in the 200 block of Crabapple Dr., Howard, called and advised that his house had been broken into over the winter. He advised that the only items taken were five, five gallon gas cans. There was some minor damage caused to the inside of the residence.

Mabel Bryant was arrested without incident on a warrant issued out of Bexar County Texas. The Knox County Dispatch Center did confirm the warrant with Bexar County TX. by phone and teletype. Ms. Bryant was transported to the Knox County Jail where she is held pending a court hearing.
